Villa Ama is a detached, gated country house arranged over three floors. It enjoys a wealth of natural light, stunning sea and Etna views, high ceilings and french doors in several rooms.
Indoors, living space includes a spacious, arched living-dining room with picture windows and sea views, separate kitchen, expansive entrance hall, and a smaller downstairs study.
Sleeping quarters consist of five double bedrooms, four adjoining bathrooms, two with bath, two with shower, and an additional guest loo (floorplan available on request).
Stylish interiors are furnished with widely sourced, mainly vintage furniture and objets, some collected, some inherited; flooring is made from handmade Sicilian terracotta throughout.
Outside space includes a split-level, unmanicured Mediterranean garden with orange, tangerine and lemon trees, succulents, palm, camelia, pine, magnolia and intensely coloured bougainvillea. The citrus trees bear fruit and are at their most colourful from late autumn to early spring.
In addition to a wrap-around balcony, there’s an extensive roof terrace with impressive views of Mount Etna and the sea, and a small pool (7 x 4m) set among citrus trees provides refreshment in the warmer months.
The villa has a good selection of books, records, classic films and series, as well as central heating throughout, some air-conditioning, remote-control operated entrance gate and ample outdoor parking within the property.
Wifi is of course available.
